Royal news: How Lady Gabriella Windsor could follow Kate Middleton with her wedding dress

Lady Gabriella, whose wedding is just a couple of weeks away, may take some much needed style inspiration from her fellow brides – including Kate and her sister, Pippa Middleton Details of Lady Gabriella’s wedding dress has yet to be revealed, however, there are rising speculations she will opt for a British designer The royal may end up choosing Sarah Burton, Peter Pilotto or Clare Waight Keller – the designers responsible for Kate, Princess Eugenie and Meghan Markle’s wedding dresses. Lady Gabriella, who is 51st-in-line to the throne, could also opt for Pippa Middleton’s wedding dress designer, Giles Deacon.

Lady Gabriella has supported British designer Giles Deacon on multiple occasions, including at British Fashion Awards in 2006 and at an event to celebrate the launch of his collaboration with Mulberry in 2007.

Mr Deacon designed Pippa’s dazzling wedding dress for her ceremony in 2017, which Lady Gabriella attended.

However, Lady Gabriella could end up looking elsewhere for inspiration.

She could possibly follow her sister-in-law Sophie Winkleman, who recruited Anna-Roza Bistroff – a close friend of Princess Michael – to design her gown in her 2009 wedding.

Another designer on the list is Beulah London – also one of Kate’s favourite designers.

Lady Gabriella attended the opening of the new Beulah London store in May 2018, and could end up picking the label to design her bespoke wedding gown.

Gabriella will marry her fiancé Thomas Kingston on 18 May at St George’s Chapel, the same venue where Meghan and Eugenie married.

Her wedding is expected to be a much more toned down affair than Meghan and Eugenie’s with only family and friends set to attend.

The couple will not televise their wedding nor invite members of the public to watch the ceremony, and there will likely be be no reception inside Windsor Castle.

There will be no carriage procession ride around Windsor.

It is unclear whether more senior members of the Royal Family – including the Queen, Prince William, Kate, Meghan, Prince Harry, Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles – will attend the ceremony.

In September last year, Buckingham Palace announced a statement which read: “Prince and Princess Michael of Kent are delighted to announce the engagement of their daughter Lady Gabriella Windsor to Mr Thomas Kingston.

“The engagement took place in August; Mr Kingston proposed on the Isle of Sark.”
