The judge overseeing Roger Stone’s case grilled the Republican operative over failing to disclose a forthcoming book, saying it could violate his gag order.
U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson asked his lawyers late Friday why they didn’t mention the book when she slapped Stone with the gag order on Feb. 21, according to news reports.
The order came after Stone posted an image on Instagram showing the judge’s face and a set of crosshairs near her.
While Stone said he was sorry, Jackson at the time voiced doubt about whether he could be trusted.
The new publication will consist of a book Stone previously released, but with a new introduction, a source told The Washington Post.
