Martha Stewart is in for a treat when she heads back to her native New Jersey.

The lifestyle guru, 78, who will take part Monday’s grand opening of a Stew Leonard’s supermarket in Paramus, New Jersey, will also be toasted at a reception that includes the naming of a cow in Stewart’s honor.

Stewart, who grew up in Nutley, New Jersey, will also be joined by Stew Leonard Jr. and Paramus mayor Richard LaBarbiera for the festivities, recognizing the Garden State’s first-ever Stew Leonard’s.

The event kicks off at 5:30 p.m. at the Paramus Park Mall.

Carnivale’s Brian Turk Dead at 49 From Cancer

Brian Turk, who starred on HBO’s Carnivale, has tragically passed away at the age of 49 from cancer.

TMZ reports that he was diagnosed with brain cancer last year, and it became terminal. He passed away on Friday (September 13).

Throughout his career, Brian had roles in Two and a Half Men, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Jamie Foxx Show, Step by Step, Wings, Beverly Hills, 90210, Boy Meets World, ER, Criminal Minds, General Hospital, Animal Kingdom, NCIS, and more.

Two dead in murder-suicide inside Brooklyn apartment building

A man fatally shot a woman before turning the weapon on himself in a grisly murder-suicide on Sunday night in a Downtown Brooklyn apartment building, sources said.

The 47-year-old man shot the woman, 44, in the head in an apartment at Clermont and Flushing Avenues in Brooklyn at around 11:45 p.m., according to law enforcement sources.

The man then turned the weapon on himself, and took a fatal gunshot wound to the head, the sources said.

Both were declared dead at the scene. Police recovered a firearm.

The identities of the deceased were not available on Sunday night.
