‘Marks & Spencer worker’ caught on camera ‘trying to steal potted plants from outside home’ as she walked dog

BIZARRE footage shows a woman in an M&S uniform apparently trying to steal potted plants from outside a home while walking her dog.

The woman, who wears a neck brace, is seen brazenly moving the small tree from one side of the driveway to the other before apparently losing her nerve.

The clip shows the downstairs blinds suddenly rattling, apparently causing the possible thief to flee with her loyal black mutt.

Homeowner Helen Large shared the video on Twitter after filming the spectacle from her Derby home on Monday morning.

She fumed: "@DerbysPolice @marksandspencer can’t believe I have just witnessed this women trying to steal my plants in board daylight at 8am !! "Not sure if she works for M&S (unless she has stolen that too)".

Helen told The Sun Online she had reported the incident to the police but lack of evidence meant they were now closing the case.

Derbyshire Constabulary was approached for a comment.

An M&S spokesperson told The Sun Online: “We will fully support the police with their investigation.”
