New York mall evacuated over Tesla found 'filled with explosives'

A New York City mall has been evacuated after a Tesla car filled with propane tanks was reportedly spotted parked in its parking garage.

The Queens Place Mall in Elmhurst was shuttered and cordoned off on Monday morning amid claims the black Tesla had a battery hooked up to a propane tank.

The New York Daily News reported that a called dialed 911 saying they’d seen what looked like propane tanks, although police officers have yet to confirm the contents of the car.

An ambulance was also seen arriving at the area, although there have so-far been no reports of anyone injured during the incident.

NYC Fire Wire’s Twitter account said the evacuation concerned a ‘vehicle w/possible explosives.’
