KitKat is launching two new flavours – and they sound amazing

While the same two-finger KitKat we used to get in our packed lunches when we were younger is still going strong, in recent years, KitKat has launched a handful of fancy new flavours.

And now two more newbies are being added to the collection: KitKat Senses Salted Caramel and KitKat Senses Hazelnut.

While the former will contain a KitKat chocolate-covered wafer, with a thick layer of indulgent salted caramel filling, and infused with crunchy caramel flakes, the hazelnut version will be similar, but contain a layer of sumptuous praline and crunchy hazelnut pieces instead.

The premium variant of the world famous KitKat has been around for a year now, albeit not in single bar form… until now.

The two new premium, single bars are set to go on sale nationwide from 18th February, with each bar comprised of three delicious KitKat Senses chocolates.

Sascha Macchi, KitKat Brand Manager at Nestlé UK said: “KitKat Senses received an excellent response from fans in 2018 and meant that there was now the perfect, premium option for sharing KitKat on special occasions.

With KitKat Senses ideal for sharing, we now want to offer these popular indulgent KitKat flavours as a single bar for an individual treat.”

Alongside the two new Senses bars is the roll-out of the famous Ruby chocolate version of Nestlé’s four finger KitKat, which will appear in retailers nationwide following the incredibly successful launch in Tesco last year (they’re currently on sale too, for two for £1.30 ).

Ruby chocolate is often referred to as the fourth type of chocolate, alongside dark, milk and white, derived from Ruby cocoa beans, which has an intense berry-fruitiness taste that occurs naturally without the addition of any flavour or colour.

He added, “We were totally overwhelmed by the amazing response to the launch of KitKat with Ruby chocolate last year.

We are delighted to be able to take this big innovation in confectionery to a wider audience and give more KitKat lovers the chance to discover a different chocolate experience!”
