Init is to hire up to 20 for its new software development centre in Maynooth, Co Kildare.
The supplier of IT solutions for public transport has consolidated its presence in Ireland, with its first operations centre outside of Germany. The company, which provides integrated planning, scheduling, telematics and ticketing systems for buses, trams and trains, wants to tap into Ireland’s software ecosystem and service English-speaking markets.
The highly skilled roles will be created in software development.
Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation Heather Humphreys said that, with its fast-growing economy, Ireland is an “ideal” location for the company.
Among Init’s projects here was the delivery of an integrated ITS solution for Dublin Bus to manage its services across the city. The system also provides a real-time feed in the National Transport Authority’s passenger information infrastructure.
