8 photos that show future of ‘slimmed-down’ Royal Family when Prince Charles is King

Prince Charles is the second-most senior member of the Royal Family, and he serves the Queen and the country in an official capacity as Prince of Wales. When he is King, Charles is widely thought to want a more “slimmed-down” monarchy with fewer senior royals. But some members of the Royal Family could also have boosted responsibilities when Charles is King.

In recent months, there have been several royal engagements where Charles has enlisted the help of three other senior royals.

Along with his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Charles has attended many events with his son Prince William and his wife Kate, Duchess of Cambridge.

Amid reports of a new ‘Fab Four’, it seems likely Camilla, Kate and William will play key royal roles when Charles’ reign begins.

Here are eight pictures of the royals out and about in recent months, showing what could be to come under the reign of King Charles.
