A photographer took a scenic shot with something unexpected in the background

A man who was out on a New Year’s Eve night took a beautiful scenic photograph but captured something unexpected in the background.

Gavin Best, 43, got the perfect shot when he was out in Belfast celebrating a new year beginning.

He said: “When I looked at the photos afterward on my mobile I didn’t spot anything; it was only a few days later when I was looking through the photos on my laptop that I noticed something over there, so I zoomed in.”

Best managed to capture the moment someone jumped in the air, presumably posing for another photograph.

He said: “I thought it was a hell of a coincidence that I’d happened to capture that exact moment – I hadn’t even realized there was anyone over there when I took the picture.

“By pure chance the timing was perfect and it created a funny shot. It would be pretty mad if you managed to find them.”

He shared the photo on Twitter and it has now been liked more than 1,200 times.

“I posted the photo on Twitter because I thought it was a bit special and worth sharing,” he said.
