Archie turned two last month but is already starting to have his own life outside of his parent’s home, according to a source. They told People magazine: “He is big enough though that he is now starting to have his own life too.
“He enjoys preschool and outdoor activities.
“He will have a fun summer.”
Prince Harry himself revealed last month, during an episode of the Armchair Expert podcast, his son had started to attend classes a few weeks earlier.
The Duke of Sussex mentioned it as he was discussing media intrusion and how paparazzi recently managed to snap pictures of Meghan, who was pregnant at the time, with Archie in her arms.
He said: “They took photos of my son being picked up from school on his first day.”
Prince Harry had previously revealed he enjoys spending time outdoor with Archie.
During the Sussexes’ interview with Oprah Winfrey, the Duke was asked what delighted him in his everyday life in California.
He replied: “This year has been crazy for everybody.
“But to have outdoor space where I can go for walks with Archie, and we can go for walks as a family and with the dogs, and we can go on hikes — we’ll go down to the beach, which is so close — all of these things are just…
“I guess, the highlight for me is sticking him on the back of the bicycle in his little baby seat and taking him on these bike rides, which is something I was never able to do when I was young.
“I can see him on the back and he’s got his arms out and he’s like, ‘Whoo!’ chatting, chatting, chatting, going, ‘Palm tree! House!’ and all this sort of stuff.”
During a video call with staff and volunteers for the Rugby Football League in August last year, Harry also revealed he wanted to introduce the tot to rugby while playing outside.
He said: “What I need is a few mini rugby balls that I can get Archie involved with the game … I’ve got a little bit of space outside which we’re fortunate enough to have.
“I need to get him playing some rugby league, but I am unbelievably fortunate and grateful to have outdoor space and see my son outside as I know so many people haven’t had that chance in the last five months.”
Archie welcomed his baby sister on Friday, June 4.
The toddler and Lili have already bonded, according to Meghan and Harry’s spokesperson.
Speaking about Archie, they told People: “[He] is very happy to have a little sister.”
A source also told the magazine: “They prepared Archie by talking a lot about the baby.
“He is too little to understand though.”
Another source also acknowledged the blossoming bond between brother and sister.
They told Us Weekly: “They are already back home in Montecito with their baby girl.
“Archie absolutely adores his little sister and gives her lots of kisses.
“He’s held her with the help of his parents.”
Praising Archie’s character, the source also said the tot is “such a kind, loving child and there aren’t any jealousy issues.”
