Prince William sported a trendy polo neck and green velvet jacket, similar to the pink version that Daniel Craig wore to the Bond premiere. Many branded the Prince’s fashion choice “trendy”, and “dapper”, even comparing him to 007. The Duke and Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge kept their promise of sustainability by wearing a recycled outfit.
Kate stunned in a £4,290 Alexander McQueen dress she first wore ten years ago in 2011, at a Bafta reception in Los Angeles.
Many guests followed in the pair’s footsteps and also opted to re-use previously worn garments.
9Honey’s royal correspondent Natalie Oliveri reported: “As for Prince William, he was looking very dapper in this velvet green blazer and a black turtleneck”.
Host Richard Wilkins swiped back, saying: “He looks like a thumb”.

Ms Oliveri stated: “Some are describing him as looking like a James Bond villain.
“Some are saying he looks like 007 himself, maybe from the 1960s.
“Really stylish couple walking the green carpet, guests aren’t allowed to wear anything new.
“As we saw Emma Thompson wearing an outfit from 2018, when she received her damehood from Buckingham Palace by Prince William himself.

“He looks very groovy doesn’t he.”
During the ceremony, William warned that we are living in “the most consequential time in human history”.
He added: “Time is running out. The actions we choose or choose not to take in the next 10 years will determine the fate of the planet for the next thousand”.

Five winners of the Earthshot Prize were revealed last night at the ceremony held in London.
Each winner will go on to receive £1million and a network of support to scale their innovative environmental ideas to repair our planet.
The Duke also revealed that the following year’s Earthshot event would be held in the United States.
No stars this year flew to London for the ceremony, instead joining virtually.
