Prince Philippos, the youngest son of the former king of Greece, Constantine II, wed Nina Flohr over the weekend in Athens, Greece. The ceremony was held at the Metropolitan Cathedral of Athens on Saturday, October 23, and was attended by a number of royal figures. The couple has previously celebrated their nuptials on two other occasions.

The monarchy of Greece was abolished in 1973, but members have retained their royal titles.

The Greek royal family has several links to members of the British Royal Family.

King Constantine II is a godfather of Prince William, and he is also a second cousin of Prince Charles.

Prince Philippos was also the godson of the late Diana, Princess of Wales.

The Queen’s late husband, Prince Philip, was born a prince of Greece and Denmark before he renounced his titles to marry then-Princess Elizabeth in 1947.

Members of the British Royal Family were in attendance at the nuptials over the weekend.

Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank flew to Greece for the wedding.

New mum Princess Beatrice was also in attendance along with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

Beatrice and Edoardo welcomed their first child together, Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi, on September 18, 2021.

Eugenie wore a beautiful black dress from Peter Pilotto for the star-studded event, which she accompanied with heels by Carvela.

Beatrice also wore a stunning dress by Gucci with a cream top half and black skirt.

Members of other European monarchies also attended the wedding in Greece, including Queen Sofia of Spain.

The event in Athens on October 23 marked the couple’s third celebration of their nuptials in recent months.

Prince Philippos and Nina Flohr tied the knot back in December 2020 at the exclusive Swiss ski resort, St Moritz.

The couple were joined only by King Constantine and Nina’s father Thomas Flohr for the small civil ceremony due to Covid restrictions.

The happy couple then celebrated their union again in Cambridgeshire in the spring.

King Constantine and Queen Anne-Marie announced their son’s engagement back in September 2020.

As per People, a statement from the former king’s office read: “Their Majesties King Constantine and Queen Anne-Marie are delighted to announce the engagement of their youngest son HRH Prince Philippos to Nina Nastassja Flohr, daughter of Thomas Flohr and Katharina Flohr.”
