Bolton horror crash: Two teenage girls injured, one seriously, as police hunt Audi driver

Police were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Great Moor Street in Bolton at 9pm yesterday.

A red Audi A4 was involved in a collision with two females who were crossing the road, with the vehicle failing to stop at the scene.

A 14-year-old and a 17-year-old were treated at the scene by paramedics.

The 14-year-old was taken to hospital with life-changing pelvic and abdominal injuries which are described as “life-changing”.

She remains in a serious condition in hospital.

The 17-year-old suffered minor injuries.

No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.

PC Thomas Berry, of GMP’s Roads Policing Unit, said “This is a serious road traffic collision where the offending vehicle has failed to stop, leaving a 14-year-old girl in a serious condition in hospital.

“I am keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the Bolton town centre at the time of the collision and saw an older model dark red Audi A4 in the area.”

Anyone with information or dash cam footage is being asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 3118-09/10/2021.
