LBC’s Shelagh Fogarty spoke to Sohail from Windsor as he explained how devastated his family was after losing his mother-in-law to coronavirus. The caller broke down in tears as he demanded Boris Johnson and his Government make clear their initial response to the pandemic. He argued former Downing Street advisor Dominic Cummings has begun the inquiry into the Government by accusing them of incompetence in handling the crisis.
The caller said: “Dominic Cummings has started this inquiry today.
“From today onwards the momentum should be carried on.
“It shouldn’t be kicked into the long grass, which it will be by Boris Johnson and Matt Hancock.
“The worse part of it all? The Government will back them because they have so much to answer for.”

The caller then broke down in tears as he reflected on how his family was dealing with the grief of losing a family member.
He continued: “I’m sorry, I am not a person who suffers from anxiety or anger and who is emotional.
“But this has just taken the stuffing out of our family.
“She was a well-loved mother of five.

“And her children grieved, her grandchildren grieved and her husband grieved.
“He is never going to be the same.”
The caller then again reiterated his concern about how the Government handled the coronavirus situation when it began.
He said: “People didn’t take it seriously and it is evident that Boris Johnson didn’t take it seriously.

“We want justice and the truth to come out.”
“It is not about sending people to prison, it is about knowing the truth so that this doesn’t happen again.
“It is pure incompetence.”
