Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, has revealed which coronavirus vaccine she received in a departure from the rest of the Royal Family. Prince Charles and his wife had been visiting Finsbury Park Mosque, where a vaccination hub had been set up, as part of their show of support for the UK’s Covid inoculation campaign. ITV’s Royal Rota discussed the “slip” in their latest podcast.

Host Lizzie Robinson told listeners: “Camilla actually let slip which type of vaccine she had while she was at a pop-up vaccination centre in a mosque.

“This type of thing is happening in so many places across the country.

“They’re pulling together to try and get vaccinations to as many people as possible as quickly as possible.

“The Duchess of Cornwall revealed that she had had the AstraZeneca jab.”

In a clip from the engagement, the Duchess is asked by an NHS staff member if she has had her vaccine.

She tells him: “I have, it was the AstraZeneca one.

“Although it didn’t matter. I didn’t ask.

“I don’t even ask because I hate injections.”

Camilla continued: “I hate them so much that I shut my eyes.

“Whatever comes out.

“You take what you are given.”

However, there was no confirmation which vaccine the senior royals had been administered.

Commentators have suggested that this is in part to avoid the appearance of endorsing one over the others.

There was also no confirmation when the group received their second jabs.
