Cardiff emergency: City centre locked down as fire crews rush to scene

According to reports, police and fire services have closed off a busy central street. Although it is unclear what sparked the incident, Queen Street has been closed. There are approximately three fire engines at the scene. 

In pictures, a crane can be seen being used to access the roof of a building. 

A spokesperson for the fire service claimed officers were called at 3.45pm on Monday. 

The cordon was enforced around Specsavers and the Card Factory. 

There have been no reports of injuries on Queen Street.
