Climate protesters bring M25 traffic to standstill for fourth time in a week

Environmental protesters from the Insulate Britain group have blocked the M25 for the fourth time in recent days.

Activists are preventing traffic from moving at Junction 18 of the M25 at Rickmansworth.

Dozens of climate change protesters were arrested last week during their third sit-in demonstration.

Almost 80 members of the group invaded the country’s busiest motorway, 79 of whom had been taken into custody following similar demonstrations on Wednesday.

Junctions three, at Swanley in Kent, nine, at Leatherhead in Surrey, and 28, near Brentwood in Essex, were among those targeted last week.
