Royal family unveils Coronation Quiche
Fears are growing that the Coronation weekend could be spoiled by eco-protestors. Extinction Rebellion, Greenpeace, Friends of the Earth and the PCS union are taking part in a protest titled ‘The Big One’ on April 21 to 24. Now fears are mounting that protests could take place over the Coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla on May 6. Ex-head of Royal Protection Dai Davis said the threat is “as big as it has been in 50 years”, the Mirror reports.
Security around the capital will be ramped up in the build-up to the Coronation and throughout the weekend in the largest security operation in decades.
Charles and Camilla will travel through the streets of London following the ceremony at Westminster Abbey on May 6 as thousands travel in the hopes of catching a glimpse of the new King and Queen.
