The prince, who was pictured watching the game between the Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals with cousin Princess Eugenie, was invited to celebrate the team’s victory after the match. Photographs posted on the LA Rams Twitter page show the prince holding the trophy in the locker room surrounded by the team and management, including owner Stan Kroenke.

Prince Harry can be seen admiring the Vince Lombardi Trophy, which was presented to the winning team at the awards ceremony at the SoFi stadium on Sunday night.

He looks delighted to be able to congratulate his new hometown team after witnessing them beat the opposition by 23 – 20 in a dramatic match.

The caption on the photos reads: “Feelin’ like royalty”.

The Duke of Sussex’s appearance at the game caused a stir from royal admirers on both sides of the Atlantic.

He was pictured sitting outside a private box with cousin Eugenie, who visited the prince and his wife Meghan Markle who live two hours away in Montecito with their children Archie, 2, and Lilibet, who is eight months.

Wife Meghan and Eugenie’s husband Jack Brooksbank were not present at the match.

Princess Eugenie is the first royal to publicly visit the couple since they moved to LA in 2020.

It has been suggested that she could be in California as part of a work trip. The princess is a director for the London branch of international art gallery Hauser and Wirth, which has a stand at this week’s art fair Frieze Los Angeles opening on Thursday.

The princess sent royal fans into a frenzy yesterday when she shared a photograph of herself and her husband under a blossom tree to Instagram to wish her 1.5 million followers ‘Happy Valentine’s Day’.

Prince Harry has only returned to the UK twice since he stepped back as a senior royal.

On both occasions, he has stayed with his cousin at her residence Frogmore Cottage on the grounds of Windsor Castle, where she lives with her husband Jack Brooksbank and one-year-old son August.

Prince Harry and Meghan moved to Frogmore Cottage just weeks before son Archie was born. It was their home until they left the UK and relocated to LA.

The cousins are known to be close and the princess is friends with Meghan, whom she met before Prince Harry was introduced to his now-wife.

The pair have reportedly “bonded again”, according to royal commentators, while the royal family braces itself for the Duke of Sussex’s upcoming memoir.

The prince’s presence at the super bowl has been welcomed by royal observers in the US.

One Twitter user responded to the images of him with the trophy: “It’s great to see all the love Harry’s adopted country is extending to him.”

Another chimed in: “What a difference leaving the UK can make. Prince Harry is living his best life.”

The prince was also pictured with a number of celebrities who attended the game, including Cedric the Entertainer and country singer Mickey Guyton, who both posed for pictures with the Duke.
