The founder of an online Mortgage company, Vishal Garg received a backlash for firing 900 of his staff on a Zoom call.

Mr Garg has come under fire for his timing, many have been pushing out against him online as there are only a few weeks till Christmas, and it’s the most expensive time of year.

Many people including Fox News co-host Emily Compagno had a lot to say on the firing of his staff, Unlike most people who slammed Mr Garg, Ms Compagno backed big boss Vishal Garg’s decision all the way.

Ms Compagno has since been slammed on Twitter by users who found her speech on the topic distasteful one user @ProfessorRMB wrote: “Emily Compagno should be fired herself… over zoom… so insensitive … typically #deplorable #foxnewssucks”

Another Twitter User @NeilRobertson said: “Snowflake fake attorney Emily Compagno proves her lack of credentials to ever being a journalist as she does no research and tropes the company line that these people only worked two hours a day. Only on @FoxNews do scum like this celebrate people’s hardships. No humanity.”

Speaking on the mass firing and praising CEO Vishal Garg, Ms Compagno said: “I loved this actually, I loved this so much.

“The productivity of those 900 individuals averaged two hours a day even though they were paid for eight.

“And I understand the indelicate nature of this but part of my role as a federal attorney when I was managing and acting director was terminating individuals and I did it with the utmost respect and care.

“But I also had to do it with a lot of security measures in place.

Ms Compagno added: “I love that for 900 people he stayed safe and he let them know that their theft was no longer tolerated.

“So for me, good riddance and I feel bad that he’s now having to capitulate to the other execs at his company and apologise for it.

“Sorry guys, bye for all of them they’re snowflakes they’re probably millennials and Z’s, yeah they need to learn work ethic.”

Mr Garg has had accusations thrown at him by staff who have called him ‘erratic’, the CEO took to a professional network called Bind where he created a Blog post on why he fired his staff.

In the letter, Mr Garg accused some of his staff of ‘stealing’ through laziness, Mr Garg also said: “You guys know that at least 250 of the people terminated were working an average of 2 hours a day while clocking 8 hours+ a day in the payroll system?

“They were stealing from you and stealing from our customers who pay the bills that pay our bills. Get educated.

“This is the second time in my career I’m doing this and I do not do not want to do this. The last time I did it, I cried. This time, I hope to be stronger. We are laying off about 15% of the company for a number of reasons the market, efficiency and performances and productivity.”

During the Zoom call an anonymous got very upset the employee can be heard in footage of the video saying: “’F**k you dude. Are you f**king kidding me?” In response to Mr Garg.

After the viral sacking, Mr Garg apologised to his remaining staff but also made his reasonings clear, Mr Garg said he “owned” his decision to fire people.

“I realise that the way I communicated this news made a difficult situation worse,” he wrote in an email.

“I am deeply sorry and am committed to learning from the situation and doing more to be the leader that you expect me to be.”
