The Duke of Edinburgh passed away in Windsor Castle this morning at the age of 99. In response Fox & Friends host Brian Kilmeade commented: “There are reports he was enraged after the interview, and the fallout from the interview, with Oprah Winfrey so here he is trying to recover then he gets hit from that.”
The remark sparked condemnation across the internet with Daily Beast publishing an article titled: “‘Fox & Friends’ Inevitably Blames Harry and Meghan for Prince Philip’s Death.”
Responding to a clip of Mr Kilmeade’s remarks one Twitter user said: “Body isn’t even cold yet.
“I knew they were ghouls but this is a stretch and excessive, even for them.”
Another sarcastically added: “I think Brian Kilmeade is onto something.
“It’s actually very common for 99-year-olds to see something on TV that annoys them and then suddenly die over a month later.”
A third posted: “I was wondering how quickly they would blame her.
“Good lord, they must have been just waiting for the opportunity because that was damn quick.”
