A three-year-old girl has been rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a car hit a fence and rolled over on a residential road in Birmingham.
The driver, a 22-year-old woman, was arrested on suspicion of causing injury by dangerous driving.
She was treated for a head injury suffered in the accident, which took place on Church Road in the Yardley area shortly before 10.30pm.
Detectives have yet to confirm whether the girl was a passenger or pedestrian.
Sergeant Julie Lyman, from the area’s serious collision investigation team, said: ‘This is a tragic incident and we are supporting the family of the little girl who has been badly injured.
‘If anyone saw what happened or has dash cam footage, and has not spoken to us, I would ask them to get in touch.
‘We would also ask people not to speculate about what happened at this stage until we have completed a full investigation.’
