The once-close brothers, Prince Harry and Prince William, were both at the state funeral of their grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II on Monday [September 19]. Speaking on the latest episode of Royally Us, body language expert and president of the Swann School, Elaine Swann, claims a moment captured between the two brothers could indicate that the rift between them could be healing “behind the scenes”.

Host Christina Garibaldi claimed it “didn’t really seem like there was much interaction” between anyone in the Royal Family, including the brothers.

Ms Swann said: “I didn’t see a disconnect, as a matter of fact, I saw a little bit more bonding.

“There was a brief moment where William had motioned to Harry and Meghan to come and sit alongside them.

“I think that was a very small tell-tale sign for us that, behind the scenes, there’s certainly some healing going on.”

The two sons of King Charles III and Princess Diana have reportedly been involved in an ongoing feud in recent months, after Harry’s royal exit in 2020.

Royal expert and author Christopher Anderson also recently spoke to Royally Us about the tense relationship between the heir to the throne and his younger brother.

He claimed the tension will “get worse as time goes on”.

Author Andrew Morton spoke to the Daily Beast last month.

Mr Morton likened the brothers relationship to that of George VI and Edward VIII, noting a close “parellel” between the two.

He added: “George VI adored his brother, like Harry adored William.

“They were inseparable, but then he abdicated, moved abroad and the relationship was never the same again.”

For the past two years, Prince Harry has lived in California, with Meghan Markle and their two young children, son Archie, three, and one-year-old daughter Lilibet.

The couple made the decision to step down as senior royals in 2020, before moving out of the UK with their young son.

They welcomed their daughter in 2021, a year after their royal exit.
