The Royal Family laid Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, to rest on April 17. Covid rules only allowed a congregation of up to 30 attendees, made up of senior royals, some of whom have not been seen together in more than a year. Prince Harry, who has established new roots across the pond in California, was among them, and he allegedly opted to stay longer than expected.

Has Prince Harry gone back to California?

Prince Harry returned to the UK alone last week, leaving the Duchess of Sussex, who is heavily pregnant with their second child, at home in Los Angeles.

The Duchess was “advised by her physician not to travel” for the occasion.

Sources revealed the Duke of Sussex intended to stay and mingle with them a little longer – until this week.

One told The Sun he would stay until Queen Elizabeth II’s birthday on April 21.

But he would only do so “if all goes well”, they added.

Immediate impressions suggest the family reunion got off to a mixed start.

Before and during the ceremony, several senior royals allegedly failed to acknowledge him.

One source told the Daily Mail Princess Anne and the Earl and Countess of Wessex are still “very upset”.

They said the royals had chosen to put on “a united front” for the mourning Queen.

The source added: “They all think he has behaved appallingly.”

Not everyone gave Harry the cold shoulder, however, as Prince Andrew was allegedly more forthcoming.

Another source said the Prince’s uncle understood his situation better than most.

They said: “Ironically the only one who has expressed any sympathy towards him is Prince Andrew.

“He knows from Sarah Ferguson – and now first-hand – how it feels to be the outsider, which Harry very much is.”

Other royals allegedly held a “deep sense of protection towards the Queen” which turned to “resentment” towards Harry.

Nevertheless, Prince Harry still rubbed shoulders with his brother and sister in law.

The trio was spotted walking and chatting while masked up at the funeral.

The seemingly friendly interactions may have convinced the Prince to remain for another day.

The Queen is allegedly preparing to welcome guests following COVID-19 rules tomorrow, but Buckingham Palace has not specified whether other royals will arrive with them.
