West Yorkshire Police have cordoned off a street in Bradford investigating the possible rape of a teenager. An alleyway between Market Street and Hardy Street in the Wibsey area of the city has been taped off. The suspected rape was reported to West Yorkshire Police at 5.45pm on Friday, September 10.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: “Police are investigating following a report of a rape which was received at 5.45pm yesterday.

“A scene is in place in Market Street, Wibsey while enquiries continue and an 18-year-old woman is being supported by specially trained officers.”

The cordoned off alleyway in Wibsey has caused a lot of concern among residents in the area.

A reporter from Yorkshire Live said: “There is only a very little alleyway right between two houses.

“One woman on the Hardy Street side said all the neighbours talk a lot to each other and nobody heard, saw or knows anything about what’s happened.”

The incident happened in an alleyway between a small cul-de-sac called Market Street and nearby Hardy Street in Wibsey.
