Police have cordoned off a road in Liverpool as a block of flats is evacuated.
Firefighters from Merseyside fire and rescue service and North West ambulance service are in attendance at Seddon Road in Garston.
Some have been seen equipping breathing apparatus before entering the buildings.
An ambulance crew appears to have taken a stretcher to the front of one of the buildings, reports the Liverpool Echo.
The houses on the opposite side of the street were reportedly not evacuated.
But residents who had been evacuated were told they could not re-enter their homes for “safety reasons”.
Express.co.uk has contacted Merseyside Police and Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service for further information.
