Carnage unfolded on Monday afternoon as a mob of up to 200 anti-vaccine protesters stormed the London office headquarters of Channel 4 News and ITV News demanding to see a string of newsreaders and tv bosses including ITV’s political editor Robert Peston. Hundreds piled into the lobby as police desperately tried to clear them out to no avail as chaos erupted between coppers and furious protests. Amid the chaos, a small mob harassed veteran newsreader Jon Snow who was pictured being swiftly escorted away for his own safety as horrendous abuse was hurled at him by a mob filming and chasing him down.

Footage circulating on social media shows Jon Snow arriving at the ITN headquarters unaware of the chaos unfolding in the building.

He can be seen stopping in his tracks and swiftly moving to another location as police and security protect the newsreader from a small mob harassing him in the street.

A protester can be heard screaming: “Speak up for the children! Do the right thing, Jon.

“You’re a man of many words Jon, I respect you, sir!

“It’s a real shame, that you didn’t speak up for the children when you could have.”

The same man then loses his cool and screams: “You f****** rat!”

While another man can then be heard screaming “Jon, are you a f****** p***?” as the news anchor is escorted to a nearby building.

The chaotic scenes continued inside ITN HQ as hundreds of protesters pushed their way into the lobby demanding to see a string of ITN news officials claiming the group are “coming for our children”.

A separate video shows protesters screaming through megaphones that their “children” are at risk and their “freedom” is being taken away.

One protester can then be heard screaming: “Where’s Peston? Get me Peston!”

While another can be seen harassing police officers amid the fury as they scream “concerned parents – the whole country is with us. The whole country is upset. We want answers… we don’t care about getting arrested mate!”

They continue in their rant, claiming: “I’ll put my life down for my kids. They’re losing their freedom and you lot are enforcing it. You’ll all go to hell, trust me. I don’t know how you can go home and sleep at night.”

The chaotic scenes come as earlier in August anti-vaxxer protestors stormed Television House in London’s White City, the BBC’s former headquarters as they demanded to see BBC executives despite the channel not being based there anymore.

Protesters were seen clashing with police in an apparent attempt to storm the building as they voiced their concerns about Covid passports and spread theories about Coronavirus.

At the time, a Met Police spokeswoman told “We are aware of a group of demonstrators who, having set off from Shepherds Bush Green shortly after 13:00hrs, are now gathered outside a commercial premises in Wood Lane, White City.

“There have been no arrests but officers are in attendance and will continue to monitor the situation.”
