Four-year-old Prince Louis has received praise from supporters for his behaviour during the royal Christmas celebrations, with some outlets even crowning the cute Prince as the star of the show. But the Queen Consort, Camilla has won praise too for her own “adorable” interactions with Louis. One particular video clip showing Camilla chatting with Louis and giving him a pat as they leave the Christmas Day church service at St Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham has picked up lots of attention.

In the clip, a smiling Camilla leans down towards Louis’ right ear to seemingly offer him some words of encouragement.

The Christmas Day celebrations, which included a Christmas lunch at the Sandringham estate, as well as the walk to the church, marked the first time in three years that the celebrations had taken place in the Norfolk location due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

This year was also the first time Prince Louis had taken part in the traditional church ceremony.

He exited the service alongside Princess Charlotte, Princess Kate, Camilla, King Charles and other members of the Royal Family to a crowd of supporters.

People were particularly satisfied by Camilla’s interactions with Louis. One person commented on a YouTube video showing the exit of the royals from the Church: “I have noticed how good Camilla is with the children, especially prince Louis, and they respond warmly to her. It’s just good to see”

In another clip, which received hundreds of thousands of views, one person added: “Aww Prince Louis and The Queen [Consort]! Just adorable”

Louis at one point walked over to a woman and confidently wished her a “merry Christmas”. Clarke said: “He’s always cheeky that Louis is, but I love him.

“All three children wished me a merry Christmas. I gave them a Gonk each, and they said ‘thank you very much’, then I gave Prince William a bouquet of flowers. Catherine looked stunning. I also met the King as well, just for a brief minute.”

Prince Louis also garnered lots of adoration during his walk up to the Sandringham Church on the chilly Christmas morning.

The child donned shorts and long socks under a smart navy coat as the rest of his family showed him towards the Church.

He was holding his mother Princess Kate’s hand and at times appeared to drag her along.

Camilla could be seen nearby walking side-by-side with her husband King Charles.

According to some royal experts, Camilla has been a warm,  supportive member of the royal family, especially for her husband King Charles.

The pair have been married since 2005 when Camilla became the stepmother to Prince William and Prince Harry. Camilla also has two of her own children, Laura Lopes, 44, and Tom Parker Bowles, 48.

The biographer Penny Junor, who has written several biographies about Camilla, told Vanity Fair in the past: “I think Camilla has transformed Charles.

“He is happier with her than he has ever been. She gives him confidence and the support he has so desperately needed throughout his life and never truly found elsewhere.”

Yet, according to Ms Junor, despite her joyous interactions with the other royals over the years, Camilla reportedly struggled to win over some other members of the royal family.

Speaking before the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the author said: “The Queen didn’t want Camilla around in the early days because their relationship was so damaging to the monarchy, but on a personal level, she has always liked Camilla.

“They have a lot in common, particularly their love of dogs and horses. And I think she is friendly enough with other members of the family and gets on well with William and Kate. It was initially difficult for both William and Harry, but Camilla let them take their time.”
