The Princess of Wales stepped out for a solo engagement this afternoon. Kate was all smiles as she headed to Guildford, in Surrey, to meet members of the staff working at the Maternity Unit at Royal Surrey County Hospital.
The beaming royal donned a stunning yellow dress with short sleeves and a pleated skirt.
She completed her look with a pair of dark blue suede heels and a clutch bag.
At the Unit, Kate met members of the Jasmine Team, which provides help to women experiencing mental health issues during their pregnancies or the initial post-natal period.
The work these staff members carry out is particularly important as approximately one in five women in the UK are reported to struggle with their mental wellbeing whilst expecting their babies or in the first years after giving birth.
The Princess of Wales also spent time in the hospital’s Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU), which provides specialist neonatal care for premature babies.
This engagement included an emotional meeting with a family who has previously been supported by this unit.
