The official Royal Family Twitter account reminded the public about the #TogetherAtChristmas carol concert which will be broadcast on Christmas Eve. It said: “Join the The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, with other Members of The Royal Family, at Westminster Abbey, as they welcome extraordinary individuals for a special festive service.” As per the German tradition, the Royal Family usually comes together and exchange gifts at Sandringham on the 24th, but due to COVID-19 this sadly won’t be taking place. Instead, they will all tune in to Kate’s carol concert.

Queen’s own £15 per bottle Sandringham Prosecco sales have soared
The Queen is selling tiny 200ml bottles of vintage Prosecco on the Royal Sandringham for £15 per bottle.
The bottles come decorated with a festive label, which features a robin, holly and fir trees.
The Mirror also reports the extra dry Prosecco is 11 percent and was produced in Italy for the Queen’s Norfolk estate.
“The prosecco carries a pretty punchy price tag but it’s been flying off the shelves,” said a palace staffer.
The Sandringham Estate website also includes the sale of both £25 best bitter and golden IPA gift boxes and a £50 bottle of gin.
The ex-royal chef Darren McGrady, 59, revealed back in 2017 to American network CNN how the monarch is partial to a gin and Dubonnet.
“That’s her favourite drink,” he said.

Speaking to People Magazine, Daniel Martin said: “It was so much fun to have all of us back together again. It was chill and relaxed like the gang was back together.
“Harry jokes around a lot, and Meghan is really funny.
“It was nice to have those belly laughs again!”
‘Hard core’ of senior royals should join the Queen for Xmas lunch says expert
After a tumultuous year of loss and Covid struggles, the Queen could be surrounded by a small unit of senior royals for her Christmas lunch, royal experts believe.
As this will be the first time the 95-year-old monarch will be spending Christmas without Prince Phillip by her side, experts believe Her Majesty’s close family will be there to support her.
Speaking on whether the Queen would be alone this Christmas, Katie Nicholl told True Royalty TV’s The Royal Beat: “I simply cannot believe the family will allow it to happen, I don’t think it will happen.”
According to royal commentator Phil Dampier, the monarch will have no more than 15 family members in her company on Christmas Day – Prince William and Kate Middleton included.
He told the Sun: “It wouldn’t surprise me if Prince Charles and Camilla, Prince Andrew and possibly Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex and maybe some others – a small hard core of people – join her for lunch.”
William’s dearest Christmas film is also a Brits’ favourite
Speaking on the Radio Marsden podcast, the Duke said his favourite Christmas movie is ‘Elf’.
He said: “It’s very funny and I keep watching it every Christmas, it still makes me laugh.”
Research conducted by PokerListings.com analysed IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes scores, as well as Google search levels and Wikipedia page views, to see which Christmas movie is the UK’s number one fan favourite.
The 2003 film starring Will Ferrell has more than 30,000 Google searches a month.
In second and third place respectively were ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ and ‘Home Alone’.
Also featuring in the top 10 are classics ‘Love, Actually’ and ‘Last Christmas’.

The documentary features previously unseen footage, photographs and accounts.
Royal author Penny Junor reads a letter written by Prince Philip which shows a much softer side to the Royal.
Duke and Duchess of Cambridge thank NHS for Covid booster jab rollout
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have thanked the NHS and the front-line workers for their effort to deliver the booster jab amid soaring Omicron cases.
They praised their “unending compassion” despite the difficulties of “yet another immensely challenging year”, describing it as “awe-inspiring”.
The couple said: “From frontline nurses, doctors and porters to those behind the scenes; you have carried on despite the hardship, despite exhaustion and long hours, and despite the emotional toll this pandemic has exacted.
“You have cared for incredibly sick patients and their families, in circumstances made all the more challenging by this virus, and your unending compassion has meant so much in the darkest moments.
“And you have done it all by putting yourselves at risk and sacrificing time with your own friends and loved ones.
“And now, as we approach Christmas, you are stepping up once more with the vaccine booster campaign. We know we speak for the entire nation when we say thank you.”
Queen could find solace in Sophie Wessex and Lady Louise this Christmas
The Queen could find solace in Sophie Wessex and Lady Louise over the festive period – after the traditional Royal Family gathering at Sandringham was cancelled.
For the second year in a row, Her Majesty’s plans for a traditional festive gathering at her Norfolk Estate have been scuppered by coronavirus.
The Mirror reports that The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, both 39, are among other prominent royals, who have committed to only essential contacts this week in order to protect the Queen.
Among these royals is Prince Edward, 57, and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, 56, who live in close proximity to the Queen.
The couple reside at Bagshot Park in Surrey with their two children, Lady Louise, 18, and James, Viscount Severn, 14.
Mike Tindall lifted lid on Royal Family Christmas tradition
Former professional rugby player, Mike Tindall, became part of the Royal Family when he married Zara Phillips, Princess Anne’s daughter, in 2011.
Compared to other members of the Firm, they live a relatively quiet and private life.
This is because, after giving birth to Zara, Anne chose not to give her daughter a royal title.
It means that Zara, a successful equestrian, enjoys the benefits of a royal life without the strings of public duty attached.
In an interview with JOE UK’s House of Rugby podcast, Mr Tindall revealed what a traditional Sandringham Christmas is like.
Prince Charles warns a million Afghan children could die during ‘catastrophic’ winter
A million children could die in Afghanistan during a “catastrophic” winter, Prince Charles has warned.
In a message of support for the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) Afghanistan Crisis Appeal, the Prince of Wales said that more than half of the population are facing hunger, as aid agencies rush to get supplies out before snow makes some areas impassable.
The Prince said: “The situation in Afghanistan is truly catastrophic.
“More than half the population will face acute hunger and freezing temperatures this winter, including one million children under five who could die unless they receive immediate treatment for malnutrition.
“This is why I am so grateful that some of the world’s biggest charities have come together to launch an emergency appeal to support people in Afghanistan.
“I am proud to support this collective effort to provide the people of Afghanistan with emergency food, nutritional support for children and winter kits to help them stay warm.”
How Prince Philip comforted distraught Prince William at Diana’s funeral
The Duke of Edinburgh comforted his grandson Prince William as he walked with him at the funeral of Princess Diana in a special moment when he thought the cameras could not see him, according to a documentary.
Prince Philip touched William gently on the back to comfort him when he thought he was out of sight of the cameras, the late Prince told his friend Martin Palmer, who co-founded The Alliance of Religions and Conservation with him.
The footage will be aired on an ITV documentary honouring the Duke, after he died at the age of 99 earlier this year.
‘Leading by example’ Queen putting duty first in ‘particularly sad’ Christmas decision
The Queen has been praised for “leading by example” by putting her duty above all else in her “particularly sad” Christmas decision.
This Christmas is the second in a row in which the Queen has broken from her usual royal tradition by celebrating the festivities at Windsor Castle rather than at Sandringham.
Her decisions was a “personal one” based on a “precautionary approach” amid the spread of the Omicron Covid variant, according to a palace source.
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams stressed that the decision will not have been taken lightly.
He told Express.co.uk this is a “deeply sad time” for the monarch – her first Christmas since the passing of her “strength and stay”, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
But despite the difficulty of breaking from familial tradition at such a difficult time, Mr Fitzwilliams said the Queen had chosen, in an announcement that was “not unexpected”, to put duty above all else and “lead by example”.
Queen ‘will miss Harry’ at Christmas, says Royal expert
Queen Elizabeth II “will miss Harry” over Christmas this year as the Duke of Sussex is urged to “make it up to her”.
Royal expert Angela Levin has discussed the relationship between the Duke of Sussex and the Queen.
She said: “It’s been awful but I think what she will miss Harry and Meghan.
“Maybe not so much Meghan, but certainly Harry. She adored Harry and he adored her.
“They have a very similar sense of humour and they would do practical jokes on each other.
“They would do jokes like they did at the Olympics in 2012, where they came down from a plane.
“I think she will miss that, I hope that people can make it up to her.”
Kate had ‘one person that she could truly turn to’ during royal rift with Meghan Markle
Kate Middleton had “one person that she could truly turn to” amid the royal rift with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, a royal commentator has claimed.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Neil Sean said: “There was one person that she could truly turn to, confide in, and be assured that it would go no further.
“The person that Kate confided in to such a degree that he has become her rock, is none other than her brother, James Middleton.
“Now James has had a chequered past himself, he’s had a few businesses that haven’t taken off, but he’s marched forward.
“He’s been very open about his own personal struggles, he got married this year, and as you can see, he has a great affection for animals who he says do a lot to help and assist people with mental health issues.”
Meghan and Harry request rejected by local business on Christmas break
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were snubbed by a local business on a Christmas trip to Vancouver Island, according to unearthed accounts.
It is not yet known where the Sussexes will spend Christmas this year, although they are not believed to be returning to the UK.
Unfortunately, the couple’s request to eat at a local restaurant was rejected, owing to security difficulties that come with hosting two of the most recognised people on the planet.
They had planned to eat at Deep Cove Chalet, an upmarket seafood restaurant boasting magnificent waterfront views.
The restaurant’s owners, Bev and Pierre Koffel, turned down a request to host the royal couple for dinner.
Kate Middleton causes ‘Miu Miu cardigan’ searches to spike 870%
Google searches for “Miu Miu cardigan” exploded 870 percent in the UK on December 18, one day after Kate Middleton appeared wearing a red Miu Miu cardigan in the trailer for her ITV special, Royal Carols: Together at Christmas.
The new finding by creative resource Design Bundles reveals that online searches for “Miu Miu cardigan” skyrocketed to nearly ten times the average volume in one day, an unprecedented spike in people Googling Miu Miu cardigans, according to analysis of Google search data.
Kate Middleton’s £1350 Miu Miu cardigan, which is crafted of red cashmere and features a white peter pan collar, bauble detail, and diamond patterns, sold out online just days after the Duchess of Cambridge revealed it in the Royal Carols trailer.
A spokesperson for Design Bundles commented on the findings: “Any designer lucky enough to have Kate Middleton model their pieces is set for life, as anything the Duchess of Cambridge wears just sells out in days, with women all over the world desperate to emulate her look. Kate’s rich red Miu Miu cardigan, interspersed with the shining coils of her hair, creates a beautiful Christmassy look, perfect for the season”
Kate Middleton behaves ‘just like Queen’ whereas Camilla is ‘away from spotlight’
Kate Middleton’s body language is incredibly close to that of the Queen, whereas Camilla Parker Bowles prefers to stay “away from the spotlight”, according to a body-language expert.
Body language expert Judi James told Express.co.uk about the Queen’s body language and how it compared with Camilla and Kate’s respective public presentations.
Judi said: “The Queen’s body language is as unique as her role and her status.
“Classed as ‘actively high status’ and diffused with and determined by her own protocol rules, it is a tradition in itself.
“Created in part from the way she ascended to the throne earlier than expected and, as a young and rather petite female in what was a very patriarchal society where women were still expected to give up their jobs once they were married, she would have found herself needing to project signals of extreme power, authority, regality and confidence in a very older-male-dominated culture.”

Prince Philip was in hospital when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey aired. Many in the media said the timing of their interview was insensitive, as the Royal Family would already be worrying about the Duke’s health.
However, journalist, and Philip’s close friend Gyles Brandreth told the Daily Mail: “The fact that the Meghan and Harry interview was aired while Philip was in hospital did not trouble him. The reason The Queen can never reveal Prince Philip’s will
One reason the late Duke’s will is not to be made public for at least 90 years is to protect the Sovereign’s position. Judge Sir Andrew McFarlane said it must remain secret to protect the Queen’s “dignity and standing”.
Sir Andrew said to the BBC: “I have held that, because of the constitutional position of the Sovereign, it is appropriate to have a special practice in relation to royal wills.
“There is a need to enhance the protection afforded to truly private aspects of the lives of this limited group of individuals in order to maintain the dignity of the Sovereign and close members of her family.”
