The Duchess of Cambridge has previously spoken out about Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis’ food habits. Despite her young age, six-year-old Charlotte enjoys eating olives, a snack the Duchess purportedly likes too.

Speaking during a royal engagement at Lavender Primary School in north London, Kate confessed that “Charlotte loves olives”.

Kate also emphasised the importance of food in a healthy lifestyle as part of her visit to mark Children’s Mental Health Week in 2019.

She said: “It’s interesting how food and energy and how you feel work together.

“It’s amazing the connection between physical and mental well-being.”

The Duchess previously discussed her own diet tips as she spoke to students at Stockwell Garden Nursery in London.

Michelle Samuels, the nursery’s manager, told today.com: “She mentioned to the children that her own children enjoy apples and cereal in the morning, which sparked a conversation with the children about their own preference of fruits.

“She mentioned that she likes papaya to a child who was reluctant to try a piece of papaya. After this, the child tried some papaya.”

Speaking to TV cook Mary Berry during A Berry Royal Christmas, Kate gave a rare insight into her life with Prince William and hailed his cooking skills.

She said: “In university days he used to cook all sorts of meals.

“I think that’s when he was trying to impress me, Mary! Things like bolognese sauce, and things like that.

“He sometimes does actually – he’s very good at breakfast.”

Prince William himself confessed his love for fry-ups in a 2009 interview.

He told The Telegraph: “I love a fry-up but only with brown bread.”
