Despite being senior members of the royal family the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge both regularly do the school runs for their children in a bid to give them a “normal” upbringing.   The couple can be seen often dropping off and collecting their two oldest children from their school Thomas’s Battersea in South London.

However, one of the parents at the school gates told the Daily Mail, another parent is turning far more heads.

They said: “No one really gives Kate a second glance when she does the school drop-off.

“We have a Victoria’s Secret model doing the school run, too, and the dads are far more interested in her.”

Kate Middleton and Prince William do their very best to shield their children from the media spotlight, dropping a rare image of the tots every so often to the delight of Royal fans.

A royal source told OK Magazine: “She [Kate] comes from a supportive family so she’s very keen on family networks and networks of friends and organisations.

“As parents they are also very good at rolling up their sleeves and helping out with school events; sports days, fundraisers and that sort of thing.”

They continued: “They try to be just like normal parents with normal parenting challenges.”

In an effort not to draw attention to their special heritage, the children go by different names at school.

Princess Charlotte is known as just Charlotte Cambridge while Prince George similarly goes by George Cambridge.

Both children attend Thomas’s Battersea school in London.

Prince Louis attends Willcocks Nursery School in London, which Princess Charlotte also attended in 2018.

Although some might expect the children to get up to mischief, the royals make sure their kids are taught good manners.

Another royal source told OK magazine: “Because of who they are, William and Kate have had to be highly organised parents.

“But as parents, Wills and Kate have developed this brilliant knack of letting as much as they can seem spontaneous and that’s how the children see it.

“Table manners, thank you letters, little courtesies are being drilled into the children so they become automatic.

“If George has been naughty, and he has been on occasion, Kate and William are good at explaining to him the rights and wrongs of what’s happened.”
