Kate Middleton’s parents Carole and Michael Middleton currently live at Bucklebury Manor, however, the family raised the Duchess in a seven-bedroom Grade II-listed Georgian property in Berkshire.

The home Kate grew up in, located in West View in Cock Lane, has since increased in value significantly.

Carole and Michael bought the property for £34,700 in 1979 and now the property is worth £748,000.

This is just over 21 times more than what they paid for it. The couple sold the property in 1995 for £158,000 creating a large profit.

After living there the family moved to Oak Acre in Berkshire.

Kate’s family moved to the large, detached house when she was aged 13, and it is reported to have cost more than six times the UK average house price which stands at £249,000.

This property is just under an hour’s drive from Windsor Castle where Prince William and Kate reportedly want to move their family from Kensington Palace.

In 2012, the couple then bought Bucklebury Manor for £4.7 million.

The Duchess of Cambridge, 39, was born in the Royal Berkshire Hospital on January 9, 1982.

She was raised in West Berkshire in the villages of Bradfield and Chapel Row where her parents still reside.

Kate was described as “very hard working, very polite and friendly” by staff, who also said she is “very kind to the younger children”.

She attended St Andrews prep school in Pangbourne for nine years before until the age of 13 and later attended Marlborough College in Wiltshire.

The village of Pangbourne is on the boundary of Reading and is under an hour commute from Paddington station.
