Kate Middleton’s ‘oatmeal diet’ tested by Daily Express
The Princess of Wales is likely to take over a new crucial role from King Charles- however, she will have to make the first move if she wants to opt for it.
It has been reported that the Royal Thames Yacht Club is putting all its hopes on Kate Middleton, 41, to become their new Commodore after parting ways with Prince Andrew in 2021.
Based in Knightsbridge, the organisation is Britain’s most famous yacht club and its previous royal patrons included Lord Mountbatten and Prince Philip.
According to Daily Mail’s Diary Editor Richard Eden, the club has its sights set on Kate – who is a known sailing enthusiast.
This week, the yacht club held a new “Women Who Rock the Boat” event during Cowes Week on the Isle of Wight to “encourage women in the sailing world”.

Explaining how the royal would be a perfect fit, a senior member of the club told Daily Mail: “Kate would be a great role model.
“But the trouble is, royal protocol dictates that it’s up to her and the Royal Family to make the first move.”

Royal cousins Savannah and Mia enjoy fun-packed day at Festival of British Eventing
Royal cousins Mia Tindall and Savannah Phillips were spotted happily enjoying a girls’ day out at the Festival of British Eventing at Gatcombe Park, the residence of their grandmother Princess Anne.
The girls were also joined by Mia’s younger sister Lena, their mother Zara Tindall and Savannah’s little sister Isla, however their male relatives were seemingly not invited as neither Mike Tindall and Peter Phillips, nor Zara and Mike’s son Lucas were in attendance.
Mia and Savannah were dressed in matching official navy T-shirts and wellington boots to help weather the muddy conditions.
The annual event is now in it 28th year and offers a wide range of fun activities such as trampolining, which both of the girls delightedly took part in.
Mia, who has sport in her blood thanks to her mother’s equestrian career and her father playing rugby for England, even turned herself upside down as she jumped around on the trampoline.

Prince Andrew dealt fresh blow as THREE new series will detail his fall from grace
Prince Andrew has been dealt a fresh blow as up to three new series detailing his downfall are set to be released following a car crash interview in 2019.
Andrew’s public life has come crashing down ever since his infamous interview aired on BBC Newsnight back.
The prince was forced to step down from his role as a senior member of the Royal Family soon after he was grilled by journalist Emily Maitlis about his friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Now, the BBC is set to release a series called A Very Royal Scandal that is all about the circumstances surrounding that interview.
An insider told The Sun that Maitlis is involved in the BBC project.

Prince Harry ‘relegated to entourage status’ at night out for Meghan Markle’s birthday
Meghan Markle celebrated her 42nd birthday this week, as she was joined by her husband Prince Harry for a night out at Italian restaurant Tre Lune near their home in Montecito, California.
A body language expert has given her take on how the couple interacted with each other on the night, as she noted a supposed tension between the two.
Judi James told The Mirror: “Harry looks relegated to entourage status here as he follows wife Meghan out of the restaurant on her birthday.
“[Meghan] clearly in the lead and in birthday ‘Star’ mode, her body language suggesting happiness and confidence as she engages in chat with other people.”
In pictures obtained by MailOnline the birthday girl looked elegant and summery in a strapless, fitting, white and black striped dress, a Cult Gaia bag, and strappy black sandals.
Priceless moment King’s Guard breaks protocol to greet adorable wannabe Grenadier
A member of the King’s Guard left a little boy absolutely delighted after he acknowledged him with a nod outside St James’s Palace as they marched past.
Frank was dressed in his own miniature guard uniform and an imitation bearskin for his special day out, with the soldier clearly impressed by the boy’s outfits.
He adorably stood to attention and saluted his heroes while clutching his imitation version of the King’s Guard’s gold stick.
The final member in the procession risked breaking strict royal protocol by nodding at the lad in a gesture of respect as he noticed him looking up at the soldiers proudly.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry warned brands ‘tainted’ but expert points to positive path
EXCLUSIVE: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been warned their brands have become “very tainted” but an expert in the field has explained how the couple can return them to success.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been on the end of a furious backlash after claims they made against the Royal Family – first in their Netflix documentary series and then four weeks later by Harry in his tell-all memoir, Spare.
Recently, they were dealt a huge blow after their £15 million deal with Spotify was mutually ended, with just one series (12 episodes) of Meghan’s podcast Archetypes being released on the streaming platform.
Hours after the end of that deal was announced, a top Spotify executive launched a furious outburst against the Sussexes on his own podcast, branding them “grifters”.
Royal author Pauline Maclaran, professor of marketing and consumer research at Royal Holloway University in London, warned Harry and Meghan’s brands have taken a battering in the midst of all the recent chaos.

From Prince Louis to King Charles, where the royals spend their summer holidays – mapped
Lavish palaces, a fleet of vehicles, an army of bodyguards and attracting more attention than pop stars, in many respects the royals are miles apart from the public.
Every time August rolls around, however, they certainly love shooting off on holiday like the rest of us.
Well ahead of the recent staycation trend, members of the Firm often kick back at Sandringham in Norfolk for a while – although the 20,000-acre estate is more commonly where they spend Christmas.
When the sun comes out, they’ve been known to venture far beyond to make the most of its rays.
Spanning three Continents from the tips of the UK to the heart of Africa, Express.co.uk has mapped where the working monarchy clocks off.

The Royal Family’s 170 year history with kilts as William refuses to honour tradition
The Royal Family’s love affair with Scotland, its culture and its traditions has endured throughout the generations, with many royals never seen without their tartan whenever they venture north of the border.
However one senior member of the Firm who refuses to indulge in a kilt is Prince William, who is said to hate wearing them, much to the chagrin of Scottish royal watchers.
The royals have a deep connection to Scotland, spending their summer holidays at Balmoral Castle each year, and also owning properties such as Birkhall and the Castle of Mey for more private retreats.
It is not compulsory for the family to dress in kilts when in Scotland but generations have chosen to do so, from King George V to the late Queen’s father King George VI and of course Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.
William’s own father King Charles seems to relish any opportunity to don his tartan, as he did earlier this week at the 8 Doors Distillery in John O’Groats.

Prince Andrew’s rivalry with Charles mounts as Duke ‘too stubborn’ to leave Royal Lodge
EXCLUSIVE: Prince Andrew is unlikely to ever leave Royal Lodge, according to a royal expert, who believes he’s “weathered worse storms”, in spite of reports that King Charles has been trying to boot him out.
Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson have lived at the property for many years, even though the Duke is no longer a working member of the Royal Family.
Earlier this year it was speculated that the pair would move into the more modest Frogmore Cottage, just five miles away, as a reduction in Andrew’s annual grant raised questions as to how he would afford the upkeep at Royal Lodge.
However royal biographer Andrew Lownie told Express.co.uk that the move does not seem to be happening, as his “rivalry” with Charles goes back further than the property issue.
He said: “I can’t see them moving. Andrew is stubborn, obsessed with status, has a contract with Crown Estate and sufficient money to support upkeep.”
