The Princess of Wales previously had a “friendly and happy” relationship with her brother-in-law, Prince Harry. However, since Harry’s royal exit, the Duke’s relationship with the Royal Family has become very tense, particularly with his elder brother, Prince Wiliam. Because of the brother’s once-close relationship, Kate is still “very optimistic” that the pair will one day reconcile, royal expert Neil Sean claimed.

Speaking on a recent episode on his YouTube channel, Mr Sean said: “Catherine, herself, is still believing that, one day, the brothers would reconcile.

“She knows just how much anger and anguish that this particular break-up has caused both William and Harry.”

Mr Sean described Kate as a “good person” who “wants to see the best in people” and make sure that “people do get on”.

He added, this not just because they are “part of the British institution”, but because the brothers were “best friends” and are seemingly the “worst of enemies” right now.

He added: “According to a very good source, Kate is very optimistic about a reconciliation.”

Mr Sean also spoke of Harry’s close relationship with his sister-in-law.

He said: “They got on incredibly well.

“You could see that from videos like when they did Heads Together.

He also noted that being an elder sister, herself, “Kate was the sort of person that he could confide in”.

The royal expert also recalls when Kate “did her very best to try and repair the damaged relationship”, particularly at Prince Philip’s funeral in April 2021.

He continued: “She tried her very best to engineer that walk, remember the chat to try and repair some damage.”

Speaking on an episode of Royally Us earlier this year, host Christina Garibaldi claimed that it seemed Kate was “doing her best to get the brothers back on track” and had been “frantically trying to play peacemaker”.

Reading out a quote from a royal insider, Mr Garibaldi said: “[Kate] had a quiet word with the boys separately.

“[She even went] as far as calling Harry in Montecito and suggesting that he reached out to William on his birthday.”

She noted that both brothers are “overly stubborn”, and added that because of this, “there’s not much hope”.

However, Harry surprisingly joined forces with William last month on a walkabout around Windsor.

The brothers, along with their wives, greeted royal mourners lining the streets, thanking them for their support after Queen Elizabeth II’s death.
