It comes as speculation of Kate’s whereabouts over the summer months threw observers into a frenzy as to how Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge spent her holidays. Despite speculation about her absence, she was in fact taking a couple of months off to spend time with her family and has started back at work this week. One Royal Family expert appeared to suggest the days of long holidays and absences will come to an end as the generational up-shift of royal duties begins in the family.
Speaking to US lifestyle magazine the List, royal reporter Amanda Lynne said how the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William “are two of the most well-known people in the world.”
She added how the pair are usually seen at numerous events each month and as a result fans have come to expect to see new photos of the pair as they attend a number of key engagements.
But she suggested some royal enthusiasts “have noticed that the Duchess of Cambridge has been very absent from the public eye as of late.”
She added how this was ”strange” considering the Duchess and her husband have reportedly been given “higher roles within the institution.”

Despite speculation as to the whereabouts of the royals, it is understood the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge take time off over the summer to spend time with their family and looking after the children before kicking off the Royal schedule come September.
It comes as according to Royal expert Andrew Lownie told Express.co.uk that The Queen is taking a step back from some of her duties as she gets older and makes way for younger members of the family.
Because of this, William and Kate are now taking on more responsibility.
Mr Lownie said: “We’re in a period of what can be called a soft regency, in effect The Queen is standing back, not doing many roles.”

He went on to suggest that Elizabeth’s oldest son, Prince Charles, is taking on a heavier workload due to the Queen’s lighter schedule as she slowly phases out Royal duties.
This means that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are taking over some of the previous jobs that Charles and his wife, Camilla the Duchess of Cornwall, had overseen.
The expert added: “As a result, William and Kate, who seem to be very popular, are stepping into the position that Charles and Camilla had.
“Because they are, I would say almost more popular than Charles and Camilla, they’ve probably been given a higher role.”
