Kate, Duchess of Cambridge’s “anniversary gift” from Prince William may have been spotted in their new portraits, according to royal commentators. The future king and queen consort released two new pictures of themselves on the Kensington Palace estate at the end of April to celebrate 10 years of marriage. Royally Obsessed podcast hosts Rachel Bowie and Roberta Fiorito couldn’t contain their shock at the price of Kate’s jewellery.

Ms Fiorito told listeners: “Did we all notice the necklace? I read up on it.

“It was in a star shape, and was $12,000!

“I thought it might be an anniversary gift.

“People were saying that she had the earrings last year.”

She continued: “The earrings are also like $30,000, which is wild.

“So I’m a little confused by that.

“They’re the Daisy Heritage earrings from Asprey, London.

“She had them last year in March.”

Ms Bowie added: “Some people thought she had the necklace the whole time, and she would have had the set.

“But I think William did something sweet and completed the set for her for their anniversary.

“That would be really nice and sweet.”

The necklace is the Daisy Heritage Pendant from Asprey as well.

According to The Knot, the 10-year modern wedding gift suggestion is diamond jewelry.

The dress worn by the Duchess for the portrait was one that she had been seen in before.

It was a blue floral maxi dress, complete with sheer sleeves and a wrap-around front.

The dress itself is from Ghost and was originally priced at £195.
