Three lifeboats have been launched to reports of a fire on board a ferry in the Channel. There are 183 people on board the Isle of Innisfree which is currently in the middle of the English channel
Passengers on the ferry are at muster points, according to BBC News.
BBC journalist Simon Jones tweeted: “The fire on board a ferry in the Channel is reportedly contained – but still not clear if passengers will have to be evacuated. That would be a last resort.”
The Isle of Innisfree was built in 1992 by the Boelwerf shipyard in Belgium and can carry 1,140 passengers.
