Transport for Manchester said the busy motorway is at a standstill in both direction at Junction 23 (Ashton-under-Lyne) following a crash. Motorists have been warned to expect “long delays”. They have been advised to re-route if at all possible. Transport for Manchester said: “The M60 is currently blocked in both directions at junction 23 (Ashton) due to a collision.
“Long delays are likely on both carriageways and all surrounding routes.
“Consider re-routing your journey if you can.”
The Tameside Correspondent newspaprer wrote on Twitter: “The M60 is currently blocked in both directions at junction 23 (Ashton-under-Lyne) because of an incident.
“Please seek an alternative route and expect delays to your journey.”
