Meghan Markle and Kate ‘haven’t forged friendship’ says expert
The relationship between Meghan and Harry with senior figures in the royal household – including Kate and William – have reportedly been strained for years and reached breaking point ahead Megxit last March. Before the infamous meeting took place at the Queen’s Sandringham Estate, Prince William is said to have refused to attend a family lunch with his younger brother.
The quartet once dubbed the “fab four” were last seen together at the Commonwealth Service at Westminster Abbey 11 months ago, and in the bombshell book titled Finding Freedom, authors Carolyn Durand and Omid Scobie claim Kate “barely acknowledged ” Meghan at the event.
The turbulent relationship between the two brothers was thrust into the spotlight at the end of 2019, after Harry admitted in an ITV documentary they were “on different paths at the moment”.
Several royal experts also claim William had prior reservations about Harry’s relationship with Meghan when the pair started dating in 2016.
Meanwhile, it is claimed the relationship between Kate and Meghan began to deteriorate in 2018, when the Duchess of Sussex reportedly left Kate in tears during a bridesmaid fitting.

Royal expert Robert Jobson claims the Queen, 94, has been “deeply upset” by the whole ordeal and urged Meghan and Harry to put the past behind them.
Speaking to US Weekly, he said: “The Queen, she’s 94 years old, so show some respect.
“And whether it upsets you, your balance or your equilibrium, your zone, or whatever it is, grow up.
“The bottom line is, you know, in life, people upset you, but it doesn’t mean that you can’t just see them once a year, smile and move on.
“And I think they call it the stiff upper lip or the grin and bear it of the British people.”
Mr Jobson claimed the “childish” behaviour of Meghan and Harry has disrespected both the Queen and Prince Charles.
He added: “I think there’s been a disrespect of the Queen and the Prince of Wales by Harry and Meghan.
“I think the way they behaved was both childish and passionate.
“And they’ll say, ‘Look, I’ve got it.’ You know, ‘Let’s agree to disagree.’ How difficult is that? You know, ‘I’ve got my point of view. You’ve got your point of view. Let’s not have around a barrier there. Let’s just agree to disagree’.”
Prince Harry is set for a showdown with his grandmother next month for a yearly review of the so-called Megxit deal.
Last March, Harry was forced to suspend his ties with the military and it is thought he could lose his official connections to the Armed Forces.
