Meghan Markle ‘petrified’ ex-husband Trevor Engelson will pen ‘explosive book’

Meghan Markle’s ex-husband Trevor Engelson remarries in 2018

Meghan Markle is said to be “petrified” that her ex-husband Trevor Engleson will pen a tell-all book about their marriage.

The pair were married from 2011 to 2013, divorcing on the grounds of “irreconcilable differences” – and so far the film management and production company owner has kept quiet about his ex-wife, refusing to comment on her marriage to Prince Harry or their split from the Royal Family.

But that might all be about to change, as royal author Neil Sean – author of The A to Z of Harry and Meghan – claims Trevor has had numerous offers to reveal all on what Meghan is really like behind closed doors.

He added that Meghan is “petrified” because Trevor has “first-hand experience of what it was like to be married the first time around”.

If he does decide to release a book, or even give an interview about his failed marriage to Meghan it could prove to be fatal to her hopes of relaunching her career.

Neil, who has met Trevor, told OK magazine: “Many agents have offered him big deals and big money when Meghan was at the height of her fame. I would think that he will take stock and look at all options.

“Meghan is bound to be petrified. He would truly have a remarkable story because after all, he would have first-hand experience of what it was like to be married the first time around to the actress.

“I have met him briefly and he strikes me as a nice, caring man who clearly has moved on. However, there is no escape from his story.”

Meghan and Trevor met in 2004 and dated for seven years before they got married on a beach in Jamaica in 2011.

However, their relationship began to deteriorate after Meghan landed a starring role in hit legal series Suits. The actress spent much of her time filming in Toronto, while Trevor remained in Los Angeles.

Just over two years after their wedding, Meghan filed for a no-fault divorce and is even though to have posted her wedding and engagement rings back to him in the post.

Royal author Tom Bower has already shed some light on how Trevor felt about Meghan’s decision to spend so much time in Toronto in his book Revenge: Meghan, Harry And The War Between The Windsors.

He wrote: “To the producers’ bemusement, Meghan was keen to set up her permanent home in Toronto rather than commute like all the other actors from Los Angeles.”

As a result, Neil believes a book written by Trevor could go into detail about how “ruthless and ambitious” Meghan was.

He said: “His story would be the inside track on how ruthless, ambitious and determined she was.

“If he talks about how he was dumped and why, then it could be explosive. Meghan is not known for keeping any friends from her past and Trevor’s story so far is a huge mystery.”

Like Meghan, Trevor has also remarried. He tied the knot with heiress and nutritionist Tracey Kurland in May 2019 – a year after Meghan married Harry.

If Trevor does decide to speak out on his failed marriage to Meghan, it could prove a fatal blow to her already waning popularity.

She is set to launch a new Instagram account and has also been tipped to bring back her lifestyle blog, The Tig.
