Meghan Markle poll: Would you watch Thomas Markle’s documentary about Duchess?

Meghan Markle and Harry ‘hurt the Queen’ says Thomas Markle

Vote in our poll on whether you would watch Meghan’s estranged father’s documentary. And let us know more about what you think by scrolling down and leaving a comment.

Our poll comes as Mr Markle, 76, who lives in Rosarito, Mexico, is reportedly working with a cinematographer on the film and is aiming to have it done by later this year.

The former lighting director took part in a Channel 5 documentary about former actress Meghan last year.

But he wants his film to portray a more “complete” picture.

Mr Markle told The Sun: “It begins with my life, my family, my love of theatre and television and how I got there.

“Then my life with Meghan, growing up, her school days until she went off to college, and when her career began.

“We had a good life together, up through her first marriage and her move to Canada.

“Then a new story begins! It’s kind of like ‘What happened to my baby girl’.”

The documentary will feature previously unseen home footage of Meghan.

Mr Markle added: “My documentary will have some new videos and my favourite photo of my ‘baby girl’ and we try to figure out what went wrong.

“I think we will do a good job.”

Meghan has been estranged from her father since he did not attend her royal wedding in May 2018.

A personal letter she wrote him is at the centre of a High Court privacy battle.

Meanwhile, Meghan’s half-sister Samantha Markle, who she is also estranged from, has written a book about her which she promises will tell “the good, the bad and the ugly”.

The Diary of Princess Pushy’s Sister Part 1 was expected to be released this weekend but has been pushed back to February 1, according to the publisher Barnes and Noble’s website.

Samantha, 56, who lives in Florida, has admitted Meghan may not be “comfortable” with the memoir.

Earlier this month, she told The Sun: “I don’t know if she will be comfortable with it. Some things she will and some things she won’t.

“It’s fair and balanced. Naturally, some things she will like and some things she won’t.

“Truth is stranger than fiction and I have predicated myself on the truth.

“It was never meant to be a slamming tell-all and be frivolous and meaningless.”

Meghan, 39, and Prince Harry, 36, are living in California after quitting royal duties last March.
