Meghan Markle claimed earlier this year in a sit-down interview with Oprah Winfrey that her life in the Royal Family led her to suicidal thoughts as she was “not protected.” Meghan and her husband Prince Harry made claims of feeling “trapped” in the institution. The Duchess of Sussex even claimed she was physically trapped as her passport and driver’s license were confiscated.

The Duchess of Sussex starred in Suits from 2011 to 2018. 

After appearing in 108 episodes, Meghan departed the show to focus on her wedding and impending life as a royal. 

In January 2020, Meghan and Harry stepped down as working members of the Royal Family. 

They stated that the decision would allow them space and they were to seek financial independence.

The pair now live in California with their two children Archie Harrison and Lilibet Diana. 

Their youngest child, Lilibet, is yet to meet her UK family. 

Archie also has not returned to the UK since the family left in March 2020.
