Speaking on the latest episode of Royally Obsessed, Amanda Matta, also known as @matta_of-fact on TikTok and Instagram, praised the Duchess of Sussex stating that her decision to launch Archetypes is proving that “she is a person”. The Duchess of Sussex has used the platform to candidly discuss her personal experience with some of the labels she was branded with over the years.

Ms Matta told hosts Rachel Bowie and Roberta Fiorito: “With Archetypes [and] Harry’s book, the theme for the Sussexes this fall, really, seems to be rewriting the narrative about them.”

She noted that when “speaking in their own words” allows the public to continue learning about the royals in a more “powerful” way.

Ms Matta added: “For Meghan, so far, Archetypes has been a really huge success.

“She is reminding us that she is a person.”

The royal expert continued: “Whenever she gets on her podcast, I’m just reminded [that] she’s a girls girl.

“She has always wanted to do something more with her position.

“Whether that was as a celebrity, as a public figure or a member of the Royal Family.”

She added: “Now that she’s no longer a working member of the Royal Family, it’s very interesting seeing that take shape right before us, on our Spotify app, every week.’

Each week, Meghan is joined by a new female guest to “explore and subvert the labels that try to hold women back”.

Some of the 41-year-old’s guests have included singer Mariah Carey, tennis professional Serena William and American socialite Paris Hilton.

Shortly after the podcast launched in August, royal journalist and co-author of Meghan and Harry’s book Finding Freedom, Omid Scobie claimed that the Duchess of Susseex “finally has her voice back”, after having been “silenced by the institution”.

He added that the couple have, since their departure, “managed to create a healthier and happier existence”.

Meghan and Harry now reside in the US with their two young children, Archie, 3, and one-year-old Lilibet.
