Meghan Markle has been warned about getting into politics by a royal commentator. While speaking on TalkRadio with Dan Wootton, Sarah Robertson insisted that Meghan should be cautious of getting involved in politics while still holding her ‘Duchess of Sussex’ title. She argued it would be an embarrassment to the Queen who ensures the monarchy remains politically neutral.

Ms Robertson said: “Meghan, if politics is where you want to go and that is your future by all means go.

“But you do not get to do that while carrying a title as a member of the British Royal Family.

“It is an embarrassment to the Queen as a sovereign who is head of state.

“The Queen must remain politically neutral as a constitutional monarch.”

Other Royal commentators have attempted to predict the height of Meghan’s potential political aspirations.

Royal author Lady Colin Campbell claimed Meghan has been considering running for US President.

She told the Mail Online: “I know the Duchess of Sussex has political ambitions.

“I have been told that one day she wants to run for President.

“I think everything she is doing, leaving the Royal Family and moving back to California is part of her plan and she has taken Harry along with her.”

The Duchess of Sussex has received criticism for her comments regarding the upcoming Presidential election.

Many royal fans have insisted that if Meghan wishes to become political she will first have to give up her royal titles.

Regarding the upcoming Presidential election during her last speaking engagement, Meghan highlighted the importance of voting, a move deemed highly political by many.

She said: “We all know what is at stake this year.

“If you aren’t going out there and voting, then you are complicit.

“If you are complacent you are complicit.

“In the fraught moment that we find our nation, exercising your right to vote isn’t simply being part of a solution, it is being part of a legacy.”
