They dismissed a report on US gossip site Radar Online which claimed Meghan would be coming over to Britain to support Harry. The site had claimed she was intending to bring the couple’s two-year-old son Archie with her but not their new daughter, Lilibet.

Meghan, 39, has not been to Britain since March last year and some inside the royal circle doubt she will ever return.

Archie, who was two in May, has only seen his grandfather Prince Charles a handful of times.

The Queen used to see him often when he was at Frogmore House, Windsor.

Royal author Phil Dampier said: “In the unlikely event she did come, it would turn into a circus and detract from the point of the unveiling.”
