Meghan Markle’s wellness routine laid bare, from stress patches to face yoga

Millie Mackintosh reflects on friendship with Meghan Markle

Meghan Markle was well-known for introducing her fans to her key health and wellness tips on her popular lifestyle blog The Tig, before she shut it down due to her high-profile relationship with Prince Harry.

She was recently snapped wearing an anti-stress patch from NuCalm, said to “provide the resonance and frequencies to ensure a fast-acting, deep, and long-lasting NuCalm experience”, which retail for around £63 ($80) for a pack of 20, or £315 ($400) for 100.

Staying fit and well remains as important to Meghan as she has a busy life in Montecito running around after her two young children.

Here Express.co.uk takes a look at some of the Duchess’s methods for keeping healthy, with some of them very accessible even for those not on a Hollywood budget.

Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland is a yoga instructor and Meghan is also a keen follower of the practice, reportedly rising at 5am to get some stretches in.

Meghan previously told Best magazine in a cover interview about her love for yoga: “Yoga is my thing. My mom is a yoga instructor, and I started doing mommy-and-me yoga with her when I was seven.

“I was very resistant as a kid, but she said, ‘Flower, you will find your practice – just give it time.’ In college, I started doing it more regularly.

“My health, my state of mind, the feeling you have after a workout; all of these things drive me to step onto my mat. Sometimes the idea of working out sounds absolutely dreadful, but I always remind myself of how good it will feel afterwards. Euphoric, almost!”

For Meghan yoga is not just for the body however, as she is said to be a fan of facial yoga to help reduce wrinkles and make her skin glow.

She told Birchbox in an interview: “I do facial exercises from one of my favourite aestheticians, Nichola Joss, who basically has you sculpt your face from the inside out.

“I swear it works, as silly as you may feel. On the days I do it, my cheekbones and jawline are way more sculpted.”

Diet is also key for Meghan to keep her feeling well, as she reportedly starts the day with hot water and lemon to aid with digestion.

Instead of coffee she prefers green juice to increase her energy levels, saying that a blend of “apple, kale, spinach, lemon, and ginger” is “a much better boost than a cup of espresso.”

Her and Harry have also tried acupuncture in the past, with Meghan using it during her first pregnancy, and take part in meditation sessions together, as shown in their Netflix series Harry & Meghan.
