Speaking to US show The View alongside host Whoopi Goldberg, conservative columnist Meghan McCain erupted into a vitriol-filled attack on the Royal Family for their “treatment” of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. She went on to launch a nasty verbal assault on Prince Charles and Camilla asserting she would “rather eat a muddy tire” than “have anything to do” the future King and his wife. She went on to claim the Duchess of Sussex “tried to help modernise” the Royal Family before adding they are “old, archaic and deeply irrelevant” in an on-air rebuke.
In an extraordinary on-air attack on the future King and his wife, McCain did not hold back in her thoughts on the pair.
She stressed: “I would literally rather eat a muddy tire than have to watch or have anything to do with Camilla and Charles.
“I find them the most boring people in the world.
“And I can say that because I am an American!”

The conservative commentator went on to say: “I know that people belove Queen Elizabeth and she’s a legacy.
“But I don’t like the way they treated Meghan Markle and Harry and I think Americans are pretty protective over them right now.”
And in a closing remark, McCain insisted: “She (Meghan) went over there, tried to help modernise something that in my perspective is old, archaic and deeply irrelevant.
“And now she came back here and I’m just glad they have a safe space to live here where they can live their lives the way they want to.”

The American’s comments come as the Duchess of Sussex announced she had written a book about the relationship between a father and son.
Meghan has referred to the picture book, titled ‘The Bench’, as capturing “the warmth, joy, and comfort of the relationship between fathers and sons from all walks of life.”
She added: “This representation was particularly important to me … and I worked closely to depict this special bond through an inclusive lens. My hope is that The Bench resonates with every family, no matter the make-up, as much as it does with mine.”
But writing in the MailOnline on Tuesday, former Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan branded the book a “parody.”

Mr Morgan said: “What would make the current shortlist for the title of World’s Most Ludicrously Inappropriate Book? Donald Trump’s Guide to Diplomacy? The Art of Protecting One’s Privacy by the Kardashian Sisters?
He continued: “Notwithstanding Ms Markle’s seemingly unlimited thirst for committing attention-seeking acts of gargantuan hypocrisy, this seemed beyond parody.”
And in a brutal slapdown of the book, Mr Morgan said: “Lest we forget, Ms Markle has ruthlessly disowned her father Thomas and refuses to have anything to do with him despite the fact they now live just 70 miles from each other.”
