Meghan Markle has “raised eyebrows” with her plans to relaunched a major passion project she ditched when she joined the Royal Family. The Duchess is looking to relaunch her blog The Tig after shutting it down while dating Prince Harry in 2017. Documents obtained by Us Weekly found Frim Fram Inc. had applied to trademark The Tig as a website focused on “commentary in the field of travel”.

The Australian’s Media Writer Sophie Elsworth told Sky News Australia: “It’s raising eyebrows if it is true. It’s apparently her passion project to talk about consciousness living, she’s going to talk about relationships and family relationships.

“She’s got plenty to talk about there because she’s fallen out with all of her family.

“If she does go back down this path, I think it is a real worry because goodness knows what she’ll say to continue to trash the Royal Family.”

Sky News host Andrew Bolt added: “She’s going to make a lot of money if she does it, it’s going to be huge flogging shoes and dresses and whatever.”

The Duchess of Sussex first launched The Tig in 2014 named after her favourite wine, Tignanello.

She wrote about her life, charity work and love of food.

But she shut down the project just before she got engaged to Prince Harry.

Meghan wrote: “After close to three beautiful years on this adventure with you, it’s time to say goodbye to The Tig. What began as a passion project (my little engine that could) evolved into an amazing community of inspiration, support, fun and frivolity.

“You’ve made my days brighter and filled this experience with so much joy. Keep finding those Tig moments of discovery, keep laughing and taking risks, and keep being ‘the change you wish to see in the world.’”

She added: “Above all, don’t ever forget your worth — as I’ve told you time and time again: you, my sweet friend, you are enough. Thank you for everything.”

The 41-year-old “really struggled” when she had to give up her social media profiles to join the Royal Family, royal expert Neil Sean claimed.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Mr Sean said: “Meghan really struggled with the removal of her social media. She really liked to interact on that and she also had The Tig blog.

“The big problem was that she wasn’t allowed to have a very political voice. Harry did try and explain the reasons that politics and royalty do not mix.

“As we all know, the royals are not allowed to vote or speak about current Government policies.

“Meghan spoke to quite a few people at length over how and why she wasn’t allowed a political voice.

“This all makes perfect sense moving forward when Meghan, as soon as she left, quickly decided to get involved in debates and activism.”
