Meghan Markle has been described as “impatient” for quitting the Royal Family less than two years after officially joining the one of the world’s most well-known families.
Author Tina Brown, who released her book ‘The Palace Papers’ last year, has claimed that Meghan could have done a “great deal to change things” within the monarchy, if she had made the decision to stick it out.
Ms Brown, who was a former editor for Vanity Fair, claimed that Meghan appeared in a rush to quit after feeling that she could “change it all”.
She suggested that things could have taken a different turn if the couple had remained as senior royals.
Prince Harry and Meghan announced their decision to step down as senior royal in January 2020, just 20 months after their fairytale wedding.

During an interview with the Telegraph, Ms Brown said: “I think Meghan felt she could get in there and change it all.
“Frankly, she could have done a great deal to change things had she stuck around, but the thing that’s most baffling is such impatience.
“She could have spent a year away and come back with a great game plan.”
Speaking of the late Princess Diana, who was also known to have struggled with life as a royal, Ms Brown said, unlike Meghan, “Diana gave it 16 years”.

Similarly, Meghan previously stated, in 2018, that she wanted to “hit the ground running” when it came to working with royal charities.
The comment occurred during Meghan’s appearance, alongside Harry and the now-Prince and Princess of Wales, for the Royal Foundation’s first forum event.
In her book, Ms Brown said that Meghan’s comment filled the Palace “an institution of cautious consensus, with dread”.
Following Meghan and Harry’s royal exit the couple made the decision to move, along with their son Archie, to start a new life in the US.
